A Partnership Agreement to Develop & Enhance Management Expertise in the Arab World Between Mohammed Bin Rashed for Arab Management Award and Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Dubai between The Mohammed Bin Rashed AL Maktoom Arab Management Award, and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International “TAGI”.
The Memo was signed on behalf of the First Party by Mr. Nabil Ali Al- Yousef, Coordinator General of the Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoom Arab Management Award, and on behalf of the Second Party by Mr. Ziad Abdo, Principal Manager of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Company in Dubai.
Mr. Nabil Al-Yousef said the agreement is regarded as a strategic professional partnership between both parties, and a joint cooperation to draft a comprehensive plan for the Award aimed at developing and enhancing the “Arab Management Award”. He added the Memo stipulates expanding the range and effectiveness of goals for which the Award was established , restructuring the nature and number of targeted categories, attracting new categories, in addition to nomination conditions and electronic applications, general restructuring and procedures, as well as the general policies and goals.
He added that HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoom, President and Prime Minister and Governor of Dubai, initiated the Award in 2001 to become the first periodical award granted to institutes, individuals and working teams in both the private and public sectors in the Arab World, with a purpose of promoting the implementation of better management practices and innovative initiatives in Arab countries, motivate and honor excelling Arab capabilities, and seek dissemination of awareness and encourage implementation of modern management concepts, quality and excellence in Arab management.
Accordingly, both sides agreed to draft a comprehensive working plan to develop assessment standards, mechanisms, and nomination of experts for evaluation by the Award Trustees Council, and to develop and modernize the Award electronic website constantly, in addition to exerting more efforts to promote and orient the Award in Arab countries.
It was announced at the signing ceremony that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International offices shall be act along with sister or affiliate companies in Arab countries, as liaison offices to serve purposes of the Award, receive nomination applications in Arab countries, and utilize the professional company efforts as well as resources to contribute to the promotion of the Award.
The Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoom for Arab Management Award was warmly received upon launch by all governmental and non-governmental organizations across the Arab World, thus attracted the attention of workers in both the private and public sectors, whereas nomination applications are reviewed and assessed at the highest level of impartiality and in terms of scientific contents, accuracy and integrity as per the special assessment standards for each category of the Award.
Winners in any category of the award are granted a letter of recognition, in addition to a financial reward of US$ 25,000 for the first and second positions (The Arab private distinguished institute, and the Arab public distinguished institute), and the sum of US$ 20,000 for the Arab distinguished management experience, and the sum of US$ 15,000 for each of the remaining categories, including the Arab distinguished Women Management Experience, the Arab Distinguished Manager, the Arab Distinguished Employee.
