JD10 Million Business Park Planned in Aqaba
25 Jul 2006AMMAN, July 25 (JT) — A new JD10 million business park will be providing a wide range of services to investors and businessmen in Aqaba, when it starts operating later this year. A joint venture agreement to establish this park was signed Monday between the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), the investment arm of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ), and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and Associates Company for Consultations, a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International Group (TAGI).
The project will be constructed on a 20-dunum piece of land provided by ADC. The business park will consist of ten-storey buildings, three of which will be completed in the first phase of construction. During the signing ceremony of the agreement, Abu-Ghazaleh announced the launch of a grant for Aqaba's high school students as a contribution to the local community in the coastal city. The grant is in the form of scholarships to join the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business, one of the faculties of the German-Jordanian University.
