Abu-Ghazaleh and Atlas Sign Agreement for Mutual Cooperation
27 Sep 2006AMMAN – A cooperation agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Atlas Group between the Atlas Group and the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg), with the aim of exchanging expertise in the fields of translation and dictionary creation.
Dr. Suleiman Alabbas, General Manager of the Center for Studies and Research of the Atlas Group, signed on Atlas’s behalf, and Mr. Abdul Mouti Abu Samour, Executive Director for Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Translation and Distribution signed as well.
The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Ghassan Alzeeb, Chairman of the Atlas Group.
The agreement signing embodies the desire for serious cooperation to propel forward work in the field of dictionaries. This comes due to and after the fame achieved by the Global Atlas Center for Studies and Research in the electronic dictionary industry, which has become well-known with Atlas electronic dictionaries. This shares a common goal with the achievements of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Translation and Distribution in the field of creating specialized lexicons, particularly in the areas of accounting and intellectual property.
The expected result of this cooperation would be the release of a common electronic dictionary that includes the Encyclopedic Atlas Dictionary, the Abu-Ghazaleh Accountancy and Business Dictionary and the Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property Dictionary at year’s end.
