Business Game at the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business
14 Dec 2006The German-Jordanian collaboration is really advancing:
Dr. Guenther Dey (Bremen University) assisted by Dr. Thomas Felsch (Braunschweig / Wolfenbüttel University of Applied Sciences), will organize a business game with 2nd and 3rd semester students of the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business" (TAGCB) Business Department, from December 15th - 18th, 2006.
Dr. Peter Uecker, Dean of the TAGCB since September 2006, is trying to inspire the students by bringing "German Flavor" to Amman in the context of this event. Certainly, this business game will be a completely new experience for the Arab students who are used to frontal teaching methods. In this case, the emphasis is put on engagement and team work, along with punctuality and reliability. Since the students’ German language skills are still lacking, it has been decided that the game classes will be held in English.
It is not only the students who are excited about these classes, but also the faculty: How will this teaching and learning method be experienced and received? For the participating students there is a chance of extra credit grades in the Management and Logistics subjects.
Everybody seems to be curious about how this New Years / Christmas candy is going to be received.
