Amman- The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) announced on January 6, 2007 that Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, the Chairman of ASCA, has launched the renewal of the scholarship to the Palestinian accountants, business accounting and economics graduates in Palestine and Gaza.
The Director of ASCA Ayman Hasan pointed out that the scholarship will enable accounting graduates from Palestine and Gaza to register in ASCA in order to obtain the Arab Certified Public Accounting (ACPA) on the expense of Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh. The scholarship covers the registration fees and the required studying materials.
He also added that the ACPA is credited by ASCA as well as the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). Candidates will be required to pay Cambridge $500 registration fees.

Hasan noted that the scholarship is a renewal to the previous scholarship which was launched by Abu-Ghazaleh in 2001. It included one thousand Palestinian accountants; it aimed at promoting the accounting profession in the Palestinian economy.
