New website launched for Arab Management Award
08 Mar 2007The General Secretariat of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Arab Management Award (AMA) has launched the Arabic version of its new website www.arabmanagementaward.com, to build awareness and increase knowledge about international management practices.
The initiative reflects the organisation's strategy to adopt new technological innovations to promote efficient management systems in the Arab world. The site will include success stories, application criteria for the award, updates on the award programme, and international management models.
The AMA has seven award categories, four of which are dedicated for individual achievement. The site will serve as a valuable resource for applicants on the implementation of excellence standards and improving the quality of performance in their respective fields.
It will also provide a comprehensive database with information on latest management trends, European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) implementation techniques. A link to 'My Vision', the inspirational book written by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai will also be provided by the site.
Developed by the Talal Abu Ghazaleh group, the initiative aims to encourage competitiveness and collaboration among Arab governments and public sector organisations, as well as the private sector.
The Arab Management Award was first launched in 2002 to build awareness of the importance of improving Arab management as an important way to develop the economy and meet international standards.
