Etisalat Academy's 6th Middle East HR Conference and Exhibition opens

Attending the conference were the Ministers and representatives of Health, Social Affairs and the Environment and Water, Mohammed Hassan Omran, Chairman Etisalat, Chief Officers Etisalat, and Osman Sultan, Chief Executive Officer du.
The two-day conference is being held on the 4th and 5th of April in the Godolphin Ballroom of Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai, and is attended by a number of respected Ministers and representatives, experts, international HR consultants and delegates representing government and private organizations and prominent corporations and companies from across the GCC and the Middle Eastern region. The conference focuses on discovering talent within employees to utilize their potential in becoming leaders, and on the latest HR mechanisms of developing and enhancing human resources at the GCC, regional and international levels. Delegations from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Sudan, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, India, Afghanistan, Congo, and Pakistan are also participating.

"The rise of the 21st century has witnessed several challenges: the emergence of Information Society and the e-Government initiatives in the developing countries. This has been escorted by panting changes and a crescendo of digital revolution that invade each and every social, cultural and economical aspects of services; let alone the high-speed data connections and the new horizons that will soon be inculcated in our societies; and as such imposing new challenges for Human Resources. This vision makes it imperative to adopt framing new domains and policies not only to successfully deal with these new factors and situations, but also to recruit, prepare, qualify, retain and keep the competitive edge of the different components and elements of the Human Resources in all business sectors; and prominent amongst these are the National Cadres.'

He also said:'This is definitely impossible to achieve unless there is a professional leadership that provides the organizational environment, the proper and healthy atmosphere that enable staff to discuss and apply their business ideas that aim to moving forward on the long path to distinction. The ongoing communication and interaction between the transformation leadership and subordinates results in enriching organizational development processes and contributes in developing a clear vision for the business goals, and adopts necessary strategies and processes to provide an opportunity for utilizing all kinds of creativity, innovation and ongoing improvements of quality and performance management as well as other methodologies that conform to the nature of development and improvement processes that enable organizations to achieve continuity, growth and market leadership objectives.'
Dr. Doaa Fares, General Manager Etisalat Academy, said that this annual event has become one of the most important conferences organized by the Academy. He also announced the success of many academic training programs for local and regional organizations, and a range of training programs spanning in 30 countries through 60 centers of excellence in collaboration with the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International & Group.
He also revealed the Academy's organization of the annual 'Information Technology Security Conference' to be held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah, in November 2007, and the soon to launch Master's Degree in Business Administration and Digital Economy.
The conference is headlined by Sahar Hashemi, Co-Founder of Coffee Republic and author of 'Anyone Can Do It', delivering her discussion on 'Unlocking Talent And The Entrepreneurial Mindset in HR'. The conference will also host the international experts, Professor William Scott-Jackson, Co-Director, Center for Applied HR Research Management, Oxford Brookes University, UK, Tony King Head of HR Development, Clifford Chance LLP, UK.
Each day of the conference concludes with a panel discussion to discuss many issues related to talent management. The first day concluding panel discussion, titled 'The World War for Talent Global Issue', will include Sahar Hashemi, Prof. William Scott Jackson, and Tony King.
