Abu-Ghazaleh Legal entrusted by World Bank to prepare Reports Regarding Legal Situation in 8 Middle East Countries
15 Apr 2007Amman - Abu-Ghazaleh Legal (ABLE), a global business law firm and a member of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg), has been assigned by the World Bank to prepare reports describing the legal situation in the following countries; Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey.
Abu-Ghazaleh Legal is now considered the local partner of the World Bank in the said countries for this purpose. The World Bank is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. The region is going through major legal and business developments. It is vital for the foreign investor to be aware of the latest legal regulations and procedures related to doing business in the area, which is the main purpose of preparing the reports. Mr. Samer Pharaon, Executive Director of Abu-Ghazaleh Legal, said: “We are honored to have been chosen by the World Bank to undertake such an important task”.
The reports are seven and will cover the following issues; starting a business (corporate law), employing workers (labor law), registering property (real estate law), getting credit (collateral law), protecting investors (corporate and securities law), enforcing contracts (commercial litigation), and closing a business (bankruptcy law).
