"Managing Intellectual Property Right’s Licensing Agreements" Training course

The Licensing Executives Society - Arab Countries (LES-AC) in cooperation with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Professional Training Group are organizing a two-day training course entitled "Managing Intellectual Property Right’s Licensing Agreements". The course will be held on May 30-31, 2007, at Abu-Ghazaleh International office, El-Mohandeseen, Cairo-Egypt.
 
This course is designed to familiarize trainees with the concept of "IPR licensing agreements" and the different aspects and issues that are associated with this kind of agreements. The course will discuss the different intellectual property rights that can be licensed, general structure and specific provisions of a license agreement, and the tactics and strategies for successfully negotiating a license agreement. Trainees will also be introduced to the importance of maintaining the license agreement once it is concluded and put into force.
 
Course content:
-         Over view of intellectual property (IP), and licensing agreements.
-         Licensable Intellectual Property Rights (IPR’s).
-         General structure of a license agreement
-         Preparing a negotiation strategy, negotiation tactics.
-         The management plan.
-         Maintaining agreements

Trainer: Ms. Hams Madanat (L.L.M in Intellectual Property Law), is the Intellectual Property/Legal Training Manager at Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP), she is a certified trainer by the British Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), certified trainer for the LESI’s Intellectual Asset Management Program, and ASIP’s IP Expert Program.
