TAGITI Participates in Jordan’s First Information Security Forum

The forum addressed Information Security concerns in Jordan and the Arab region and was attended by a wide spectrum of Jordanian academic and business community to highlight the need for cooperation and knowledge transfer in the field of IT security and its effect on business operations

AMMAN---------June 1, 2011-------- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information Technology International (TAG-ITI) Amman IT Consulting Manager Mr. Shahid Halling was the key speaker at the Information Systems Security (ISS) Forum which was recently organized in Amman.

Mr. Halling discussed “Mitigation and Prevention Measures to attain Effective Information Systems Security” with businesses in the Kingdom."

The Forum, the first of its kind to be held in Jordan, highlighted the importance of IT security to businesses and was attended by academic and professional speakers who spoke about various IT security topics.

In addition, a roundtable discussion with business representatives was organized, which showed the maturity of companies in Jordan with regards to IT security. TAGITI Participates in Jordan’s First Information Security Forum

“It was a very important event and hopefully the start of a trend. As Internet penetration is growing in the country such events are needed to network businesses together so that they can mutually benefit from each other,” said Mr. Halling.

Various government entities including the Ministry of ICT were also invited and issues surrounding e-government services were highlighted as a particular point of concern, especially with regards to cross border data sharing and the use of technologies such as cloud computing.
