MOU between the University of Dubai & Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization

The Strategic Plan 2007-2015 as envisioned by His Highness Shaikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E and Ruler of Dubai, is an ambitious project that relies heavily on manpower development and the education of the nationals. The onus lies on the academia and the industry (both government and private) to forge together and work in unison to make this happen.
In this endeavor University of Dubai, the educational arm of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) have partnered together by signing a MOU and will be collaborating with each other in the following areas:
1) Education (Academic & Professional Development Programs)
2) Student and faculty exchange
3) Joint seminars & conferences
4) Internship and Placement opportunities
5) Consultancy
6) Research

Dr. Omar Hefni, President of the UD said “The Center for Management & Professional Development (CMPD), the community outreach arm of the UD and TAGOrg realize that operating in an area of the world that is experiencing radical and unprecedented change, the need of the hour is to systematically develop partnerships that will promote development of a knowledge economy which underpins the development of any nation.”

Mr. Esmat Fahmi and Mr. Taan Chaib, Senior officials of TAGorg, noted "we aim at preparing students and professionals in Dubai to realize their full potential and participate constructively in civil society and the global marketplace, so that Arab Region will benefit significantly from the experiences of Dubai as it creates its own educational and business frameworks for the 21st. century".

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization is the largest Arab group of professional service firms in the fields of accounting, management consulting, training, intellectual property, legal services, information technology, capacity building, educational consultancy, credit information and legal translation, in addition to being an affiliate of the World Bank, the Register of Accountants and Auditors (Washington) and the UN Center for Transnational Corporations (N.Y.).
