TAGorg, Interstandards Sign MoU to Enhance Internet Development in the Region
06 Sep 2007AMMAN - September 6, 2007--- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg), the Arab Organization for Global Professional Services, and Interstandards, the Arab Organization for Internet Standards, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance and accelerate the Internet industry in the region by implementing quality standards and participating in quality certification program.
The signing of the MoU will take place during the GITEX Technology Week Global Conference that will be held in Dubai September 8-12, 2007.
This agreement aims at creating a successful environment for the Internet industry to thrive and grow by promoting the use of the latest industry best practices that in turn catalyzes aspiration for higher levels of excellence.
TAGorg ICT Development Director Dr. Ra’ed Awdeh said: "Applying newly developed standards means that a website is continually tested for quality, and this will raise the bar of the Internet users' confidence.”
“Through our huge client base in the Arab world and internationally, we can help our clients improve the quality of their websites and expand their business potential by following the latest Internet best practices for web publishing," he said.
Meanwhile, Interstandards Managing Partner Sa’ad Abdul Hadi said: “Work started in this initiative two years ago with the vision to help the website development industry to reach a better position, especially with all the new techniques and development in this field.”
