The move comes in implementation of HE Senator Talal Abu-Ghazaleh’s proposals
CAIRO----- April 3, 2011-------- The Arab and International Relation Department at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) stated that a team of experts representing TAG-Org’s Information Technology and Communications (ITC) and logistics in coordination with the League of Arab States Secretariat’s social committee are arranging now for the implementation of HE Senator Talal Abu-Ghazaleh’s proposals endorsed by the Arab Economic Development and Social Summit (AEDS) held in Sharm Al-Sheikh on January 19, 2011.
The proposals, posted on the Summit’s website (www.arabeconomicsummit.org), include the holding of an Arab youth knowledge summit and granting an Arab knowledge award for young innovators.
HE Senator Abu-Ghazaleh made the proposals in a speech addressing the AEDS Summit upon invitation by the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in the Arab Youth Forum that was held in concurrence with the said summit. The proposals were adopted and submitted to Arab monarchs and presidents.
The first proposal was to hold an Arab summit for Arab development led by the youth in cooperation with the Arab League and the Intermediary Forum for Youth and Children, scheduled now to be held in the Kingdom of Morocco for the period November 24-25, 2011.
The second proposal was to designate a knowledge award for young innovators in technological knowledge, organised and sponsored by the Arab League in cooperation with TAG-Org.
HE Senator Abu-Ghazaleh tackled also in his address several issues underscoring that “Innovation is the key for pursuing, reaching and driving development and it is a tool for competitiveness. Innovation is made by youth, who are also the dynamics of innovation in the world of knowledge, which is in turn the key to all kinds of innovations.”
