Senator Abu-Ghazaleh a Guest of Honor of the Arab Youth Forum at the Arab Economic Social and Development Summit, the Second at Sharm

In his speech, HE Senator Abu-Ghazaleh addresses the role of youth in knowledge society, which provides unprecedented opportunities for invention and innovation of knowledge tools enabling the youth to lead the knowledge transformation in the world

SHARM EL-SHEIKH -------- January 16, 2011-------HE Senator Dr. Talal Abu- Ghazaleh will be heading to Sharm El Sheik on Monday to deliver the opening speech of the Arab Youth Forum at the Arab Economic Social and Development Summit, the Second based on an invitation by the Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

In his speech, HE Senator Abu-Ghazaleh addresses the role of youth in knowledge society, which provides unprecedented opportunities for invention and innovation of knowledge tools enabling the youth to lead the knowledge transformation in the world.

The Forum deals with three angles: the digital participation of Arab youth, the role of modern technology in youth enabling, and the third is enhancement of national policies concerned with youth issues.

The Forum activities focus on some priorities of Arab youth issues such as preparing participatory youth policies and youth and communication technology, taking into consideration the growing use of such technologies by youth thereby providing an opportunity to activate youth’s participation, loyalty and communication. Other issues include creative youth and youth’s national policies.

On the occasion of holding the Development Summit on January 19, 2011 in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt, taking into account the significance of this event and considering the youth’s dimension intersection with all development issues presented on the Summit’s agenda, the League of Arab States, the social sector in cooperation with the Council of Ministers of Youth and Sports and the concerned bodies in Egypt with the support of Arab and international bodies, intend to organize the Arab Youth Forum.
