TAG-Knowledge Supports First Jordanian Health Carnival

AMMAN-------December 28, 2010--------- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) took part in the first Jordanian Health Carnival, organized by the Friends of the Global Fund (MENA region) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.

Deputizing for HRH Princess Muna, Minister of Health Dr. Mahmoud Sheyyab launched the activities of the Carnival, organized at King Hussein Park, and attended by 3,000 participants, including representatives of civil society organizations. TAG-Knowledge Supports First Jordanian Health Carnival

According to Mr. Tareq Hammad, TAG-Knowledge executive director: "The Carnival aims at spreading awareness regarding certain epidemics such as AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis and some social behaviors in dealing with them."

"We at TAG-Knowledge are proud to be part of this carnival which was created to serve the Jordanian community," he added.

The Friends MENA was founded in 2009 in Amman to join the global fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals “MDGs” which led to the creation of the Fund aiming to enhance the quality of life along with the eradication of poverty and hunger, reducing child mortality, improving reproductive health, combating diseases and serious epidemics.

TAG-Knowledge is the latest initiative by Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh to perform its corporate social responsibility towards the Jordanian and Arab communities, and to be a hub for promoting intellect and knowledge, developing Arab youth and human resources, and qualifying the largest number of local professionals by providing them with competitive skills through exposure to knowledge and developments in the international community under the direct supervision of TAG-Org experts.
