TAG-Org Participates in Beirut Arab International Book Fair

Through the participation in such events, TAG-Org aims to underline its image as the largest Global group of professional service firms in various fields

BIERUT --- January 5, 2011 --- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) took part in the 2010 Beirut Arab International Book Fair inaugurated by HE Mr. Fouad Siniora, former Lebanese prime minister, deputizing for Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri with the participation of leading publishing houses in the region.

The Book Fair, organized by the Arab Cultural Club in cooperation with the Syndicate of Publishers Union in Lebanon December 3-16, 2010, was attended by high ranking officials, Lebanese and Arab professionals, students among others.

Through the participation in such events, TAG-Org aims to underline its image as the largest Global group of professional service firms in various fields.

Mr. Waref Qumayha, executive director of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and Co. International-Beirut office said: “The Book Fair was a very well-organized event that attracted many interested people. We displayed our latest publications which included dictionaries in various subjects and our specialized books.”

Among TAG-Org’s publications which were displayed at the Fair is the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information and Communication Technology (TAG ICT) Dictionary, an English-Arabic publication of about 6,500 ICT terms. It was produced to serve various goals, one of which is meeting the needs of ICT specialists and students in universities, colleges and vocational institutions by providing necessary explanations for various terms rather than merely equivalent meanings or synonyms.

In addition, other publications included the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) – International Public Sector Accounting Standards ( IPSAS ), Handbook of International Standards on Auditing and Quality Control, International Financial Reporting Standard for Small and Medium-sized Entities ( IFRS for SMEs ), Handbook of International Quality Control, Auditing, Review, Other Assurance, and Related Services Pronouncements.
