Abu-Ghazaleh Tackles “The Knowledge Revolution” at the Applied Science University

28 Jan 2014 AMMAN ---- January 28, 2014 ---- HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), was the guest of honor at a symposium entitled, “The Knowledge Revolution”.

The event, held at the Applied Science Private University under the patronage of HE Dr. Haitham Abu Khadija, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, was organized by the Public Relations and Resident Affairs Department.

In his welcoming speech, President of the University Dr. Mahfouz Judeh stressed on the commitment of the University to create an appropriate educational environment, while developing programs that keep up with changes in educational technology.

These steps, according to Dr. Judeh, contribute to creating a new generation capable of working with new technologies more effectively. Additionally, this is in line with the University’s vision to create a variety of qualitative educational opportunities. This implements the mission of the University, by offering and carrying out a number of programs at different academic levels.  He also presented a brief description of the University and its services, and the concept of applied programs which the University is renowned for, in a mechanism to meet the demand of the regional, Arab, and local markets.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh underlined the creation of knowledge as being a means of creating a revolution in the positive sense adding that the current available opportunities for youth are unlike any opportunities which have been existed before.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out the role of the youth in drawing the future of the Arab world urging them to be knowledge makers.

He called on the youth to take effective role in organizing meetings, discussions and conferences, this would motivate that youth to carry out the responsibility in the future, so that they will be aware of the challenges of this stage. He drew attention to the role of the Internet in developing knowledge, commenting, “Products and creation of knowledge will be the future source for economic revolution all over the world.”

In the conclusion of the symposium, Dr. Abu Khadija and Dr. Mahfouz Judeh presented Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh with an honorary shield. Likewise, Dr. Abu- Ghazaleh presented Dr. Abu Khadija and Dr. Judeh each with a shield.

It is important to note that the Center for Studies, Consultation and Public Service affiliate with the Applied Sciences University made a strategic partnership with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization which is considered one of the world’s largest organizations in the provision of technical and vocational training.
