The Family Business Governance Center and the International Arab Society of Certified Accountants Sign MoU

25 Jan 2014 AMMAN----January 25, 2014----- The Family Business Governance Center (FBGC) and the International Arab Society of Certified (IASCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of family businesses.

According to the agreement signed by Ms. Sarah Diken, FBGC officer and Mr. Salem Al-Ouri, manager of IASCA, the two parties will cooperate in supporting family businesses by helping them ensure their sustainability through raising their awareness on governance related issues through several programs in addition to promoting accounting programs held by the Society.

Ms. Diken stated:" We are thrilled to have signed an agreement with such an esteemed institute in the region, and we look forward to start implementing the terms of the agreement, and bringing more value and services to our members based on the directives of Mr. Luay T. Abu-Ghazaleh, FBGC founder.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Al-Ouri stressed that the terms of the MoU correspond with the vision of IASCA’s Founder HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh in boosting and developing the standards of accounting and auditing professions as well as promoting awareness relating to international accounting and auditing standards in the family businesses.

About the International Arab Society of Certified Accountants
In 12th January 1984, IASCA was established as non-profit accounting professional body in London – UK. It was officially registered in Amman on February 24, 1994. The name of the Society was amended on 18th August 2013 to be entitled as “International Arab Society for Certified Accountants”. This Society aims to promote audit and accounting science along with other related topics at Arab League’s member states level.
