TAG-Confucius Celebrates Chinese Culture through a Musical Performance

AMMAN ------May 27, 2010-------Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius) will present the Chinese Cultural Heritage dancing and musical performance by Shenyang Normal University Band at Al Hussein Cultural Center.
The May 29-30 event is part of TAG-Confucius program which focuses on enriching and promoting knowledge of the Chinese culture.
According to Mr. Mohammad Sami Al-Kharouf, TAG-Confucius director, the event will be a festival of colors and ancient sounds mixed to create an urgent edge.
"We are so excited to have one of the best bands that tell the history of the Chinese civilization. This is the Chinese culture in all its variety and beauty," he said.

The cultural troupe of Drama College, in Shenyang Normal University was set up in 2004 and composed of professors and students specializing in drama, dancing and Chinese traditional musical instrument. The troupe has visited India, Djibouti, Republic of Korea, the US, Lebanon, Thailand, Hong Kong and now Jordan through cooperation with TAG-Confucius.
The event will start at 7.30 pm and admission is free.

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute was established in September 2008 to promote the Chinese language and culture, in order to reach a better mutual understanding between Arab and Chinese cultures.
