Ministry of Labour and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization Sign Strategic Partnership

AMMAN --- January 8, 2014 ---- Jordan Ministry of Labour and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Recruitment & Human Resources Development, a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) have agreed to launch a joint strategic national project to contribute to alleviation of unemployment and create employment opportunities for Jordanian job seekers in the private sector inside the Kingdom and in both the public and private sectors outside Jordan.
 
The project, which has been called "National Training Project for Employment", was discussed by HE Dr. Nidal al-Qatameen, Minister of Labour, Tourism and Antiquities, and HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG-Org chairman, on the occasion of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry and the Organization, through Alkhobaraa Employment Services, for enhancing communication with employment agencies in Arab countries for employing Jordanians.
 
The Minister praised the project, showing full support and cooperation and stressed on the importance of and necessity for extending the project to remote governorates and specialties that are not in demand. He said that the Ministry's philosophy is based on bringing about change towards the better, and our gravest concern and priorities are employment and easing unemployment.
 
"We are happy with this cooperation and the services provided by TAG-Org; the presence of companies that belong to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization is a source of pride for us, and we are pleased with this cooperation and partnership," he said.
 
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh provided an outline of the project which targets all unemployed graduates and qualified individuals seeking employment and connecting them with organizations, companies, industries and other business sectors.
 
Dr Abu-Ghazaleh explained that the Memorandum that we signed with the Ministry opens doors and mechanisms of action for us, the aim of which is one; that is, to create new jobs for our young men and women. This requires immediate implementation of a work plan, starting with priorities.
 
According to Abu-Ghazaleh the details of the national project will be announced soon.
 
Based on the MoU, the Ministry will grant TAG-Recruit the permission to use their database for the National Employment System of job seekers and employers in addition TAG-Recruit will organize training courses for job seekers especially in the field of writing CVs and job search mechanism.
 
A team from the Ministry and Organization has been set up to devise a plan for implementing the National Project Training for Employment and what has been agreed upon in addition to participating in job fairs outside the Kingdom and cooperate in communicating with other recruitment companies in the region.
