16 Sep 2013 To remain as one nation, we have to work hard and not to give in to despair and suffering- HE Dr. Talal Abu-GhazalehAMMAN------September 16, 2013----- A delegation representing students from Al Quds Cultural Forum in Jerusalem, Palestine met with HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org).
The gathering held at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University Regional Office witnessed the participation of 22 students who were eager to listen and learn from the experience of HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh who said:" Our nation had contributed to the global civilization in all fields; and it will play a significant role in the future. We are proud to be Palestinians and we should never forget that despite all the sufferings."
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed that suffering is a blessing and that it gives us the power to move on in life and be creative and successful.
"Instead of feeling disappointed and weak, I decided to confront my own suffering, overcome it and transfer it to a virtue. To remain as one nation, we have to work hard and not to give in to despair and suffering, so I had to learn and this was a virtue, and I had to work while studying and this was another virtue, and my work provided me with strength and experience," he said.
“I don’t know what despair is. What our enemy is trying to do is to push us towards failure; shall we help the enemy in his quest? Of course No, we should beat our enemy by being better than him,” he added.
He pointed out that he is a living example of hard work and determination where he managed to establish the largest and the most leading global organization that offers various services through its 82 offices around the world.
At the end of the meeting a Q&A session followed with one student presenting Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh with an olive tree branch from Jerusalem.
